Frequently Asked Questions:

Good to Know

Where are we based?

We are based in Málaga, in a large and lovely town called Alhaurín de la Torre. It’s a beautiful place located just 15 minutes from both Málaga city center and the coast. The town offers plenty of restaurants, bars, and other activities to enjoy beyond biking. We’re surrounded by mountains and only 5 minutes away from the nearest MTB trails, making it the perfect base for riding and relaxing.

What other activities can I do in Alhaurín de la Torre?

Alhaurín de la Torre offers a wide range of activities besides mountain biking. You can enjoy a zip line adventure, try clay pigeon shooting, ride the local pump track, or play golf at one of the nearby courses. There are also public sports facilities where you can go swimming, play padel or tennis, and more. It’s a great town for staying active and having fun outdoors!

When is the best time to ride?

To be honest, the weather isn’t as predictable as it used to be, but that’s the new normal everywhere. Still, Málaga offers excellent riding conditions almost all year round. Spring and autumn are the sweet spot: sunny days, mild temperatures, and perfect trail conditions.
In summer (especially June to August), it can get quite hot during the day, but riding early in the morning or later in the afternoon works great. Winters are mild too, and even if we get the occasional rainy week, you can usually ride most days.

Can I bring non-riding guests with me?

Yes, non-riding guests are more than welcome to join. We typically charge 50% of the total price per non-riding guest. Just let us know your plans, and we’ll work out the best option for you.

Airport transfer will always be included with our packs. And won´t be included for day trips, however we do offer pick ups for a small extra cost.

How long does it take to get from the airport to my accommodation

It usually takes between 10 and 15 minutes, depending on traffic and the exact location of your accommodation. We’re located very close to Málaga Airport, so transfers are quick and easy.

Riding Experience

What´s the plan?

We tailor our experiences to our customers preferences, but typically, our days consist of a combination of uplifted and pedalled sections, depending on the area. If the terrain allows, we’ll utilize our van to efficiently transport the group to the top, maximizing our time and energy for more runs. Some days are fully uplifted too.

What level of rider is this tour suitable for?

Our routes cater to all skill levels, from beginners to experienced riders. We offer tailored rides so everyone can enjoy the trails safely.

How much do we ride?

We typically cover anywhere from 25 km up to 40 km or more, depending on the group and the day’s plan. We keep things flexible and adjust the pace, distance, and difficulty to suit you and your riding level.

What’s the minimum group size for a ride?

Our minimum group size is three riders*. However, if you’re a solo rider, don’t worry, we’ll do our best to match you with an existing group so you can still join the fun!

*This minimum may vary depending on the season and availability, so feel free to get in touch and we’ll figure out the best option for you.

What kind of trails can I find?

We’ve got a great mix of trails and terrain variations here in Málaga; from smooth green paths and chill fire roads to gnarly, rocky descents that’ll get your adrenaline going! The dry weather makes a lot of the trails pretty loose, which just adds to the fun. But don’t worry, you’ll never be pushed beyond your comfort zone. We’ll make sure you enjoy every moment and always adapt the ride to your level and what you’re looking for.

Can I skip a day of riding and do something else?

Of course you can. You can stay and rest in town or visit some great places in Málaga too. We are also more than happy to drop you off anywhere on our way to the trails and pick you up afterwards on our way back.

What happens if I want to add and extra day of riding:

If you’d like to add an extra day of riding to your trip, it will be charged at the standard rate for a single-day trip.

Do I need insurance?

We strongly recommend that all participants have personal travel and health insurance that covers mountain biking activities.

What bike will I ride?

You’ll be able to choose from a variety of bikes, whether you prefer a regular mountain bike or an e-bike, we’ve got different models to suit your style and the trails ahead.

The only thing we need to know in advance is which side you use your rear brake (UK or EU style). All bikes come with flat pedals by default, but if you need something specific, like clips or other components, just let us know, and we’ll do our best to swap things out for you.
